Society
The Acarological Society of Japan was founded in January 1992, when it replaced the Japanese Association for Acarology, which had been originally organized in 1973. The Society currently holds over 250 members in Japan. The Society publishes a research journal, Journal of the Acarological Society of Japan, semiannually.
